Unlike regular conditioners, Base 81 provides a heavy-duty coating that penetrates deep into the hair shaft to restore elasticity and shine. It is designed to withstand high levels of added actives like proteins and natural butters without losing its thick, creamy consistency. This base is the perfect solution for brands looking to offer a "Salon-at-Home" experience, providing instant detangling and long-lasting frizz management.

Primary Conditioners: Behentrimonium Chloride & Cetrimonium Chloride (For intense repair).

Structuring Waxes: Cetyl Alcohol & Stearyl Alcohol (For the thick "mask" body).

Emollients: Shea Butter / Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil (For deep lipid replenishment).

Gloss Agent: Amodimethicone (Targeted silicone for damaged ends).

Humectant: Glycerin & Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5).

Stabilizer: Hydroxyethylcellulose (To maintain thickness).

pH Adjuster: Citric Acid.

This is a concentrate. Heat the base and distilled water separately to 70°C-75°C. Slowly add water to the base while stirring continuously to form a smooth emulsion. Let it cool before adding heat-sensitive actives or fragrance.

Formulator's Tip: For a professional "Hair SPA" texture, keep the water ratio low (1:2 or 1:3). Use a high-speed mixer while the mixture is hot to ensure a glossy, pearl-like finish.

Q: How is a Hair Mask different from a Conditioner?
A: A hair mask is much thicker and has a higher concentration of actives. Base 81 is designed for deep penetration and longer "leave-on" times (10-15 mins).

Q: Can I add extra oils like Coconut or Jojoba Oil?
A: Yes, you can add up to 5-7% of extra oils into the hot oil phase (the base) before adding water.

Q: Why did my mask become thin after cooling?
A: This happens if the water ratio was too high or if it wasn't mixed properly during the cooling phase. For a mask, keep the dilution concentrated.

Q: Is this suitable for chemically treated or colored hair?
A: Yes, the acidic pH and cationic nature help seal the cuticle, which protects color and repairs chemical damage.
