Conditioner Concentrate 57 is a versatile and cost-effective solution for manufacturing professional hair conditioners. It is a powerful blend of conditioning agents and structural waxes that, when emulsified with water, creates a thick, pearlescent cream. Base 57 is specifically engineered to provide superior detangling and to reduce the "fly-away" effect caused by static electricity. Its concentrated form allows you to minimize shipping costs and maximize production by adjusting the water-to-base ratio to suit your specific brand requirements.

  • Primary Conditioner: Behentrimonium Chloride / Cetrimonium Methosulfate (High-performance detanglers).
  • Structuring Agents: Cetearyl Alcohol & Stearic Acid (For a dense, creamy texture).
  • Emollient: Isopropyl Palmitate (For shine and softness).
  • Humectant: Propylene Glycol or Glycerin.
  • Stabilizer: Polyquaternium-7 (To enhance hair slip and manageability).
  • pH Regulator: Citric Acid.

This is a concentrate. Heat the base and distilled water separately to 70°C-75°C. Slowly add water to the base while stirring continuously to form a smooth emulsion. Let it cool before adding heat-sensitive actives or fragrance.

  • Formulator's Tip: For a "Hair Mask" consistency, use less water (1:3 ratio). For a "Daily Conditioner," use more water (1:5 or 1:6 ratio). Ensure thorough mixing while cooling to avoid graininess.

Q: How is Base 57 different from Base 55?
A: Base 57 is usually more concentrated and offers a thicker final viscosity, making it ideal for professional or "thick-style" conditioners.

Q: Do I have to use distilled water?
A: Yes, we highly recommend distilled or deionized water to ensure the stability and clarity of the emulsion.

Q: When should I add my fragrance and preservative?
A: Only add these when the mixture has cooled down to below 40°C to prevent the fragrance from evaporating and the preservative from breaking down.

Q: Can I add Shea Butter or Coconut oil to this?
A: Yes, add these to the Concentrate (Base) while it is in the heating phase (70°C).

Q: Will it make the hair feel heavy?
A: No, when diluted correctly, it provides a "clean-rinse" feel while still providing deep nourishment.
